Since we are an enslaved colony of the gringos and can’t vote in the general election, the primary is sort of a joke. We vote to act like we are politically active to impress our gringo masters, but most people flip a coin in the booth and aren’t even sober going in.
-
So you flip a coin and 60% of the time it comes up Hillary? Remind me never to play at PR casinos.

so long Slpr -

The cool people opt for the minimalism of the colored letter, letting the high value of their posting stand for their own branding.
That’s fine for the cool people, but what’s your plan?
True, I am cooler then cool, I may have to take it up a notch to meet expectations.
Why don’t you use the Duchy of Kansas coat-of-arms?
-
It’s too small when used in an icon :( Can’t you have a smaller one???

those trains will collide off screen

Ho ho HOLEE CRAP!
Where- how- what.
I don’t know whether to sob with joy or nuke Sweden.
This is scary.
For those unaware of Tigger’s little mind nuke, I had a nation state in that policy game called the Duchy of Kansas, and referred to myself as the Duke of Kansas in OT whenever issues of OT sovereignty arose.
Then, there is the matter of the actual Kansas state seal- Tigger managed to mix in trains into very much the state seal motif-
Which is also on the flag-
Oh WAIT A MINUTE- he was doing the state coat of arms, which I have never seen before-
Actually, Tigger’s version is probably more accurate, the state didn’t really take off until the railroads crisscrossed it.
Terrifying.
Right in my head.
Thank you.
Curse you.

I personally like the Coat of Arms, but there is an incongruity evident.
The locomotives depicted are European designs. The upper one looks like a GWR 4200 class tank engine. Were it not for the prototypical GWR safety bonnet, it may well be a British Railways Standard 4 Prairie tank.
The lower locomotive is a 4-6-0 although it could be a 4-6-2 Gresley Pacific if the trailing bogie is obscured by steam. It appears to be pulling a British Pullman coach.
But otherwise, pretty good drawing!
-
Oh I suppose this is absolutely horrible, but I feel compelled to ask-
can you make those trains more American?
Those look like European locomotives, the 1870s locomotives that would have been around at the same time as the seal creation looked like this-
These are actual Kansas Pacific pics from the 1870s.
Slpr, here is a real Hell on Wheels pic of the KP building-
They just started tearing up the old Burnham Yard a month ago, the Denver KP yard from the 1870s that had lasted all the way until now- the roundhouse above is at the approximate site of the current surviving one in KC.
Here is Hotfink’s hometown’s reason to exist- the junction where the rails first swung south to Texas.
Can’t help myself, it just looks wrong.
Oh, I have a HORRIBLY magnificent idea and request.
One of the things the KP did was instigate a slaughter of the buffalo, because they were a huge nuisance and cost to operations (and cut off the Plains Indian from their food source, but mostly it was all those buffalo messing up schedules.
Once the buffalo were out of the way, all those cheap longhorns from Texas could be driven up to the railheads in Kansas for shipping out, thus both helping to create the American taste for beef, and the enduring legend of the cowboy.
So, if you could, have that middle train have a shooting party on board gunning down the buffalo in the field.
That depiction would not go over well in Kansas, but it is a LOT more accurate and fits with the terror of trains motif and my Duchy’s philosophy of an unflinching look at history.

Kansas, built on skulls of buffalo…

Hahah, ya I spotted that right away, and had to ask to change it, just cause- took me awhile to find the right pics.
