Yeah, I wanted to get my dad off that shit and onto a reasonable tech stack, but they wouldn’t listen. Came back to fuck me in the end when they moved quickly and their email disappeared and all their account verifications were tied to their fucking landline phone. I still can’t get access to some accounts because of the verification paranoia going on these days.

So why is Google erasing the aircraft from satellite imagery of commercial airports? This is Dulles and there is literally no time, day or night, when all the gates are empty. Yet this shows only one aircraft on the field.

I was with Verizon for cell service but AT&T for internet because Fios isn’t available here.
I had a Verizon credit card too which offered a 4% rewards at all gas stations towards the bill, 16 cents a gallon when prices were high helped.
AT&T finally came through with their latest fiber network so I switched cell service to get the further discounts.

I kinda did the reverse.
I had AT&T cellular for many years and didn’t have too much of an issue with it bu I did have Verizon FiOS at work and in Nassau County.
I found that, by switching my phone and that of the wife and son to Verizon. With the discounts the monthly billing on the three wireless phones was lower than for just my phone on a business plan. The business plans are cheaper when you have half a dozen or more phones on the same account, but the reverse is true when you only have a couple. Our employees use their own phones as they’d rather not carry two and I cover $80 a month on them, which is a damn good deal for them and I’m OK with it.
I get another $30 a month off for the three Verizon phones by letting them take the $$ from a separate account I set up for Autopay. The three personal phones with unlimited data are down to about $120 a month, total.

Every phone I’ve bought here (easily more than 6 for myself, plus more for other people) has been dual sim. I dunno about iPhones but the Android ones seem to all have that feature. That it’s not in every phone in the US and Australia etc makes me suspicious that there’s some sort of collusion going on between carriers and manufacturers to prevent it.
Edit: later model iPhones all have dual sim apparently via eSIMs.

Two men who allegedly bombarded Google with fraudulent DMCA takedown notices targeting up to 620,000 URLs are being sued by Google.
Google goes on to highlight its position as a major intermediary that processes DMCA notices targeting 600 million URLs every year, and the requirement under the DMCA to remove or disable content notified as allegedly infringing. If the company fails to act expeditiously once in receipt of a DMCA notice that complies with the statutory requirements, the company risks losing its safe harbor protection, Google notes.
That last line explains why DMCA enforcement on YouTube is such a criminally unfair mess. Not surprised it’s the legislators fault.

Most of the legislators are almost Tazz’s age and would be better at regulating wagon wheel builders than internet companies. Also why can’t those Viet Cong assholes just stop abusing the system?
