Well… Speaking of LOT. Peggy and I installed an app on Daphné’s phone so that she can’t freely install new apps and, above all, access the internet.
What I didn’t tell Peggy is that what I feared the most was not Daphné finding things like the black web or Japanese p0rn.

            Your former WWIIOL life?

Yeah. I told her I had a 100 K/D ratio to seduce her.
I wouldn’t want her to find out it was actually only 80. I know I’m a bad person for having lied to her for so long, but I feel now it’s too late to redeem myself.

            Wow, 80/1 K/D is awesome! Best I ever did was 158 kills for 4 losses - 39.5/1.

Is this a knee-jerk example of investor hyperventilation or is there substance to the issue?

Us stocks are significantly overvalued because the investors are projecting future gains from selling AI services into them. This threatens to pull the rug under it, getting the money withdrawn and put into emerging markets, if investors start believing that it will give higher returns.

Is any of this based on any understanding? I don’t really think so. I’m in the middle of this and I have a lot of opinions, but it’s hard for me to predict what will happen tomorrow despite thinking that most of the people in the world have it wrong.

As an example, a fund we own a small part of was recently in talks to buy a share of Anthropic. We got a long report about the expected profits, and the gist of it was that it’ll keep growing rapidly for a decade because that’s what Google and Facebook did 20 years ago. I don’t think you have to be a genius to doubt that, on the other hand the nonsensical growth keeps happening so what do I know?

The sale fell through and I’m pretty happy tbh.
