CICS, a major IBM user package from way back, is normally pronounced by saying the acronym letters, but the old school guys say kicks.
Be prepared to read up on a living dinosaur or shark from ancient times still out there. Wiki even has the pronunciation entry.

Yes. Although talking to routers is more a VTAM/Telnet server- TCPIP running under an onboard UNIX VM thing.
Ya VTAM thinks it’s 1983 with proprietary IBM datacomm and they just basically made an onboard UNIX server and ported in all the UNIX stuff. I call it fooling grandpa.

I think you mistakenly hit the “h” key instead of the “t” and the “r” which are diagonally just above and to your left on your keyboard.

One of my skill sets is console commands for MCP, master control program. Not the TRON one, the real one for Burroughs.
The virtualization might have happened because of me, as I mentioned the possibility of that to a Burroughs instructor who had a direct line to the system devs.

If ever a picture (or a “jiff”) said a thousand words (or lines of code), surely it’s this:
Was looking at alternative procedural level generation methods and found the above during an image search (I often use image search to find code since you can see what the final result looks like). Anyway, the above approach isn’t something I’ll probably adopt but I love the outside the box thinking. Would never have occurred to me to do it that way.
