Mushroom learns to crawl after being given robot body
WTF!!!
back in college days, i postulated that such could be done, only not with mushrooms, but with animals like insects, spiders, and birds.
my idea was to come up with mechanical/animal brain interface to control movement, using the particular attributes of certain animals to enable superior coordination for transportation. for instance, the coordination for 6,8, or more legs, or superior spatial awareness and balance to enable enhanced flight capabilities. control the animal, and thus control movement.
all aboard!
Cordwainer Smith postulated mouse brains laminated in plastic then imprinted with the desired programming. Psionic elements too.
don’t see how they would stay alive without life support. also don’t see the benefit of imprinting anything on laminated slices of mouse brain either, or at all how it might work. psionics would be a very cool i/o twist though, should such a thing become possible (i’m betting it will… eventually).
my idea was to use living brains with their own programming intact, and then just add controls to guide them. if they are doing it with mushrooms, then how far off can animal control be?
peta would have a shit-fit though.

So, I haven’t really thought of buying a drone as decent ones have been pretty expensive, especially compared to how much I’d probably use one but this is probably the first to make me consider buying one:
It’s Chinese spy drone, though, so there’s that.

If you hear a sudden humming of rotors while you’re fapping, you could catch it and lock in a draw.
Or get yourself a masturbation chamber like mine:

We used a dji nano 2 I think to film over the sea and it just went in :/

Sounds like pilot error.

I understand there can be serious magnetic fields at play, I recall TOW missiles would go awry over water or other issues.

Are you calling Tigger Lithu, or even Lithuesque?

Ahti and Wellamo don’t like their picture taken.

Well it wasn’t mine and I wasn’t flying it, but it’s supposed to stay at the same altitude and IIrc it uses an optical sensor to do it, probably in addition to GPS. And it somehow got confused by waves at one point and went in though the guy was telling it to go up. It was also behind a cliff so connection may have been an issue. We were considering deep water soloing on the cliff and we’re looking for a good place to get out of the water.

Snow is obsolete! We could build ski areas in Puerto Rico with this stuff!

Is there a powder version of this “snow”? And I don’t mean cocaine.

Pakoon likes the yeyo.

Just another reason to go to Puerto Rico Pakoon!

You mean Miami, or “Little Cuba”.

Nah, I think I’ll head to Golden Triangle instead.

I have this feeling, call it a hunch, that people aren’t going to want to wear those out in public.

not unless you wanna be called “Poindexter”

Put them on a supermodel during the fashion week and wannabe fashionista influencers will go crazy!

Or an Apple logo.

Not sure the article is worth reading, but this sub heading:
Sting led to cuffing of alleged operator behind Ghost – an app for drug trafficking, money laundering, and violence-as-a-service
“Violence-as-a-service” is a new tech fad I hadn’t heard of.
