This shit has gone too far @Lob12
Wait till you see how much power this thing draws. NDAs are still in place so I can’t give any details but it is a LOT.
-
What would it be used for? CRS would find a way to use one and get less FPS

Making pictures of black vikings.

I think that’s over 3 years old video.

It is. That was the A100 in the video which predates the current ada love lace architecture. Next Gen will be announced soon based on the blackwell architecture.

Why would they name a graphic card after the Deep Throat girl?

AI porn, duh.
-
Yeah, but no tech company ever wants to admit that porn applications are 50% of the usage of their technology. They all want to act like its for the betterment of humanity or whatever.

Are you suggesting that porn isn’t for the betterment of humanity??

TBH, I put that on the socially useful side of the list given I know who the rapee was.

Pretty cool explanation of how phased arrays work without the maths. When he was showing the example at the end, I so wanted to put a square over the return and send an AIM 120.

My curiosity is indeed tickled, but not to the extent that I would try to follow in this guy’s footsteps.

You think that’s complicated, this shit looks like it would take months to build.

Good examples of phase array. Most military aircraft with air defense capability now use phase array radar. I recall seeing these big Pave Paws antennas back in the 80’s
-
Where I first encountered “phased arrays” is with RF antenna systems.
According to the document below, the phased array antenna system was first invented in 1905 by Karl F. Braun. He invented a number of other things as well and shared the Nobel Prize with Marconi.

They got much smaller after the 80s due to some improvement in materials science. I now have one in the bumper of my car and a bigger one in the nose of my jpeg F-18 . The newer AESA radars operate on multiple frequencies that helps it avoid jamming.

@Gators1 SAR radar has been out for a while now (20years?). I’ve seen some images they produce and it’s amazing the quality resolutions they have.
This Lynx system can easily show tire tracks on dirt roads. Two passes and they highlight the changes in images. Blue for new targets and Red for old targets that are gone from the second pass.

Pakoon is taking notes and thanks you.
