I have not used IE in many years other than when my company had some dumbass application that only worked on IE. It’s been several years without dealing with that though. Weird thing though is my work computer still auto installs the link on the toolbar even after I tell it to get rid of that piece of shit. Glad to see it go.

I just checked my list of apps and don’t see IE listed. Either it’s already gone of it’s hidden.

Does anyone do anything with Brave Rewards?

I think they might have replaced it with something called edge.
-
Yeah for most people, IE got uninstalled by MS sometime after Edge switched to the Chromium version. Some companies have still been running it (and paying MS extra money for support I believe) because they have old bespoke code that requires it. I’m pretty sure IE has actually been out of regular support for many years already. Maybe the June 15 date is MS saying to the laggards, enough is enough.

Change!!

IT assholes are stealing our freedomz!!! Kind of an interesting debate on whether these companies can lock down your hardware basically in the name of security or whether you should have the ability to put whatever you want on there and end up spreading viruses all over the internet? There is so much theft and fraud out there now that it’s begging for a fix. Then you throw in the whole handing control over to big tech assholes though and it seems like viruses might be the preferable thing.

I already figured out, security is the ultimate virus.

AI is taking over

As if that graphic were not bad enough in it’s primary warning, it suggests the end of tits as we know and love them as well.
I’d call that regressive!

@Tazz that doesn’t seem at all ergonomic. I did myself switch to using 3 screens this week (laptop screen + old 24 inch + new 27 inch) and I’m very happy with how much it’s made my work easier.

I think we should let AI govern us…it can’t be worse than it is now. Either that or freak out and burn anyone who ever worked on developing AI. I will pay a trillion Lithucoin bounty for each head.

It seems the consensus is that this guy’s claims are bogus. People who know more about it than me say he was fooled by a very powerful/clever chatbot. But I dunno.
In general though, the AI singularity or whatever they call it is probably inevitable. I give it 50/50 odds on whether it will help us or end up enslaving/destroying us but, yeah, we’re not tracking real well managing shit ourselves.

I was going to say it reminded me of a card boot deck.
