@Gustaf yeah, it would be interesting to see how the MSM would describe us. I am guessing they would focus misogyny because of the boob talk or something? But maybe someone looks closer and comes up with a description closer to the truth, like “…an eclectic collection of morons…” or something like that?

Pretty scary. Nit sure why they would build a process that didn’t allow for an account owner to correct payment issues, but instead just tell you the account is closed and your data is gone.

I knew I was close to AWS because my ping was like 3 on Star Citizen, but didn’t know exactly where it was. Turns out I had rode past it many times on the trail just south, which is a rails to trails improvement. If you use AWS, that’s us-east-1 and it’s like 10ish miles from my house.

With AI able to generate a lot of, mostly working, code quickly, I’ve taken to creating single-site browser extensions to get around UI/UX irritations in different websites. It started with AliExpress where it was a total chore to do some task I was doing semi-regularly. I first thought of creating an AI agent to do it but Gemini warned me off that. Gemini said it was against AliExpresses terms of service to have a bot acting with my account and it was also dangerous giving an AI full access to my AliExpress account via the website instead of via a limited API. (AliExpress don’t provide an API for non-B2B customers.) It occurred to me that I could create a browser extension that would programmatically take the drudgery out of what I was doing and I’d know exactly what it was doing because I could see the code. An hour or so of back and forth with Gemini in my code editor and it was done.
Being able to create single-purpose Chrome extensions for very little effort is actually a pretty powerful tool. I doubt I would have bothered with it even if it would have occurred to me before we had AI code generation.

It’s rigged!!! So makes sense that you need to understand the issues and fix the system, but the 100K thing just breaks it more by turning off the program altogether.

The “I will be more careful” thing is a lie. It’s utterly incapable of learning from the mistake unless you keep it in the context forever.
